A look inside our latest 417 custom build

Every custom home we build starts the same way: with a conversation. What do you need? How do you live? What does your land look like? The answers to those questions shape everything that comes after. This build in in the 417 was just that.

The clients came to us with a clear vision: a home designed for how their family actually lives. Open common spaces for the kids, a kitchen built for cooking real meals, a primary suite that felt like a retreat without being over the top.

Starting From the Ground Up

Before a single board went up, we spent time on the lot. We walked the property, assessed the grade, studied where the light hits in the morning and where the wind comes from. A house that ignores its land is a house that fights its environment for the next fifty years.

The foundation was poured to spec and given time to cure.

Framing and Structure

Framing is where a home starts to take shape, and it's where precision matters most. Every wall, every header, every beam is placed with the finished home in mind. We frame for the life the client described: wide doorways, sight lines that open the space, structural decisions that support the layout they chose.

This build included a vaulted great room that required careful engineering at the roof line. We worked through the details before we started cutting lumber. Changes at that stage cost time and money. Getting it right on paper first costs neither.

Selections and Finishes

The clients hired an interior designer, Crowder & Co, who selected finishes and curated the design. It turned out great. Cabinet profiles, countertop materials, tile patterns, hardware — the clients needs were considered every step along the way.

We sourced materials from suppliers we trust. We know quality shows up five years later when the cabinets still close flush and the grout lines are still clean.

Final Walkthrough

We walked the finished home with the clients. Every room, every detail, every question answered on the spot. That walkthrough is our standard, not a formality. If something isn't right, we address it before the job is closed.

This family is in their home now. Built for how they live and built to last. Grounded in the 417. Built with precision.
